2008 Students as Teachers Project: Are you having an issue with your 'student'?

Are you getting stuck with your student? If so--post the problem/situation here and I will help you through it:)

What should my 5th grader be practicing?

Ever wonder what you should hear while your child is doing their 45 minutes of practicing? We have many events coming up in December that your child should be practicing for.
1. Dec. 6th: Twin Lakes "Unwrap the Magic" Parade
We are playing "Up on the Housetop" and your child has a memorization test the week of Dec. 1st during their lesson So you should be hearing this wonderful song and perhaps even ask them to play it for you without music!

2. Dec. 10th: Community Service Project
I could only choose 20 5th graders to go on this, however if your child is part of this you should hear A LOT of Christmas music while they are practicing. I view this committment as above and beyond the regular class. Therefore I'm sure your student is practicng more than the required 45 minutes:)

3. Dec. 16th: 5-8th grade Winter Concert
The 5th grade band is playing Jasmine Flower (a Chinese folk song) and Yankee Doodle Flipped his Noodle. So to give you a break from too much Holiday music you should be hearing some Chinese sounds and Yankee Doodle coming from upstairs... **Your child has their concert test during lessons the week of Dec. 8th** They know exactly what they're going to have to play, so this should be a success for all!
